As co-organizers with the Finland Institute of Health and the World Health Organization of Quit&Win 2006, the Anti Tobacco Movement at Amrita announced that Mr. Rajan was the winner of the international regional prize worth US $2500. The check in the amount of Rs. 1.135 lakhs was presented by Padmasree Kamal Hassan, one of the few great Indian actors who have been nominated for the Oscar award.
